I just don’t know how I would cope with all the Bears. I think the odds of getting attacked are slim but still. Worrying about Bears 24/7 would get kind of old real quick I think.

Hats off to these folks, I could never have done it at any age.

That’s only because you don’t know the correct things to bring as someone has mentioned in the past! grin

I finally got into this show this season. I was surprised to see some of the folks tap so early and one of the ones who I thought wouldnt last a week is still going strong and I dont think I have seen her even eat once. LOL

This one is not nearly as good as the last season. Still fun to watch. I think they put them in a place with far less food source. I cant remember the guys name who shot the buck, but with that I think he’s the one to beat. His shelter is also good. He’s not near as hard core as last seasons winner. Last seasons winner would have keep and ate every part of that deer. This guy looked to just take the prime cuts a lot like we would during our hunting season.

Dude most of them have basically eaten nothing since this season started other than a few small fish (and the guy that got the deer)!

I think all of the regulations are making it a tough season so far. They can’t even kill squirrels.

They cannot even use gill nets until day 45 ? Wonder who made that rule up ? Wonder what would happen to the show if one of the contestants would get mauled by a black bear/grizzly looking for food? I see a woman was killed by a grizzly in northern California just recently after it pulled her from her tent .

So 5 remain with one episode left? Do they all get pulled next episode? Pretty boring season compared to previous ones.
My favorite one was a few years ago when the dude was shown at home bragging to his brothers about how they would need to medevac the bear if there was a confrontation. He lasted not one day after he saw bear $hit on the beach. Not a bear but bear $hit😆

Seems they go through some pretty intensive training about leaving food nowhere near their tents. I was wondering when the English chick thought she was lost what if she tapped right then in the middle of nowhere? I’m sure the device has GPS but it could take a long time to get there and find her. She seems pretty tough, bounced right back after her 5 minutes of being scared she was lost.

As far as a reality show I like it. Much better than the scripted Orange County Choppers & Richard Rawlings and his Fast & Loud.

Gotta imagine the gill netting deal is a provincial season/regulation. I always wondered how they managed to pull 10 non-resident moose, musk ox, deer, etc. tags for everyone on the show. I’m sure they pay off the local jurisdiction as much as possible to leave it “open season” but there’s a few things they won’t budge on.

The grizzlies on this season would scare the poop outta me. Whole different animal (literally) than the blackies from previous seasons.

Also, there’s no grizzlies in California.
