Can you turn it the other way?

Have you played with the wiring lately? Like disconnected for winter and reconnected for spring?

It could something be as simple as incorrect polarity.

I agree with B-man and my first guess would be the wire at the battery or a wiring plug somewhere between the battery and motor are reversed.

I just had this happen on my Powerdrive v2. If you have taken the lower unit off recently, you may have rotated the cylindrical housing 180 degrees. There should be a small indentation on the side that faces down (aligns with the skeg). In your case, you may just have to rotate the housing 180 degrees and reassemble.

checked wiring and they are correct. Dont know if I should try swtching them around and see if the prop turns the other way. And no, havent been in the lower unit at all.

If the wiring connections are correct and as they were when the motor was running correctly, then I’d suggest taking it into an authorized repair shop. Something obviously is amiss and there may be an underlying issue that needs corrected as well.

OK, the wires inside my trolling motor were connected right but the wires to my motor at the battery were crossed. working fine now. Thanks for the help
