All day on the ice and then nature calls

I know this is a weird topic but even if I take care of business before I head out on the ice, I will have to find a rest room around Noon to drop a deuce (sorry for being crude).

What do people do/use in the event nature calls and you are in the middle of a lake?

    Thank you,
    Mike

In the privacy of a portable shelter, a bucket lined with a trash bag will work.

When that has happened to me, luckily I was in a spot with no fish so I just used the hole in the ice, then moved somewhere else

Granted I was fishing by myself in my Frabill

I’m a morning pooper and an evening fisherman so I’m usually in the clear but they do have those toilet seats that attach to the top of a pail. That might be more comfortable

x2 these are way more comfortable to sit on than just the rim of a bucket! And they aren’t very expensive I think I paid 15 dollars for mine and it came with a bucket.

I have the location-luxury of being able to hike into the woods if need be. If you don’t have a bucket. Drill a hole in the ice next to the truck but not all the way through, line it with snow, let it freeze solid and grab it later with a plastic bag like you’re cleaning up after your dog. I usually don’t eat anything when I’m on the ice so I rarely have this issue, but there have been a few mornings after coffee that have sent me into the woods.

I made a latrine for my 4 year old daughter.
    -5 gallon bucket
    -Kids soft potty training seat
-lid, with hole cut out so the seat fits tight
    -pour hole near the bottom.

*If its needed for deuces (adult or child) put a plastic bag in it

Funny you should mention DEPENDS…just splash a little rv antifreeze in them before heading out, keeps them from freezing solid. Good for all day.

no one is mentioning the most important part – don’t forget to take the bags of crap out of the bed of your truck before spring begins. only took one season to learn that lesson
