Heading to Minnewaska this weekend staying in Glenwood at the campground. Any tips on where to target the eyes, pike or bass. How has the bite been and what bait is working the best.

MOm and dad were there a couple weeks back for sunfish. As far as Bass go….Spinner baits in the pencil reeds.Walleye’s on the point out from the high school.(Not sure if they were using live bait, But I’d imagine so.)What camp ground are you staying at?

I’ve had decent luck trolling cranks along the weedlines on the Glenwood end. You never know what you will get. I’ve caught walleyes, bass, northerns, and even a few nice crappies.

Hobo Park is in Starbuck. Trolling can be really frustrating on Minnewaska as there are always so many floating weeds that you pick up and the bass are everywhere. I have not fished it this year but out in front of the high school is always a community spot along with Priest point.

Deertracker. Yes Starbuck. I did have that issue last year up there with the floating stuff. Thanks for the info.

Fun lake to fish…never know what’s going to hit your line. Wonder if the coots are starting to congregate yet. That lake is nuts in September – gotta be elenty seven thousand coots rafting on the north side. Makes coming off the west end of the lake a bit difficult when you are surrounded by them in the dark.
