Went up to alex last weekend to visit my little brother up at school. Brought the portables with and hit up a few lakes. Friday, we went out on Lake Mary. Fishing off a point in 10 fow, caught a few jumbo perch and that was about it. It was a bit cold out. Saturday, we drove to Brandon and went out on Devils. Got on top a weedbed in 8 fow. Caught a ton of sunnies, but nothing with size. Caught about 10 pike between 17-24″. We also pulled out a bunch of bass. Sunday, we went out to Darling and fished 14 fow on top a weedbed. We were only out there for a couple hours, but didn’t catch anything. Had the camera down, saw a bunch perch and pike, but nothing was biting.
On every lake, we used waxies, crappies, and fatheads, but most of the catching was done on crappie minnows. And we used a variety of jigs. Planning on heading up there again in a couple weeks.
