    We have gotten out a few times since opening weekend. My son has recently gotten into bass fishing. When we go out, I’ll let him cast for bass for a while and then closer towards dark we chase walleyes. Walleyes have come anchored up on a point that has a small flat with a deep break near. We have been anchored in 11 to 12 fow using bobbers. So far, only leeches have worked. Tried minnows but quickly switched to leeches when that was what was working. I’m not much of a bass guy but he has been casting a worn in 3 to 5 feet of water that has under water cattails. I’ll admit, I did take his rod a few times to get in on the fun. Otherwise I run the trolling motor and enjoy watching him catch them.

    I should add that bug hatches chased us off by 10pm twice in the last week. During the day, the lake was covered in dead bugs.
