Girlfriend and I are looking for a lake in the Alex area to rent a VRBO on in early June. Anyone have any lakes to recommend? I’ve fished Minnewaska but that’s about it. She wants somewhere that we can get out of wind if need be and catch a few walleye and my son just wants a lake he can catch anything off the dock. Thanks

Reno has a nice resort and Im sure there is some VRBOs out there. Can catch walleyes off the dock at night. Minnewaska would be good to with all the bass and panfish, but its also spendy. Any lake that time of year should be able to get the kid on some fish off the docks. Osakis is another option

Call Joe secugra, last I talked with him he bought a 2nd place on Mary and was renting it as a vrbo if I remember correctly. Helps when your rental guy is one hell of a fisherman. I bet the rental comes with good fishing tips.

Gotta be careful with Reno if the fam is into enjoying the water. Can be some pretty gnarly algae blooms out there. Fishing can be good though.

Carlos for views, Irene for quiet and fishing, Maple for panfish, and Miltona if you got a big boat and have time to find fish.

Just go to the Ottertail area. I cant even begin to name all the lakes and areas to fish. You can go right into downtown Fergus and catch some smallies from shore that your kids can brag about for years. Wah, Ten MIle, Swan, Ottertail, East Lost, West Lost, Pleasant, take your pick. Anything on the river is fun for kids and adults alike.
