Alex or Brainerd ice

    Looking to take a small trip up this weekend from Southern MN. Does anyone have knowledge on the ice thickness in either Alexandria or Brainerd? Not looking to get on any of the big lakes. Thinking more a long the lines of Lake Aaron by Millerville. I will definitely call bait shops in the area, but wondering if you guys could help me out too. Thanks!

    Most of the lakes around Alex have 3-5″, but not all lakes are locked up. We’re expecting 2-4″ of snow over the weekend which won’t help much.

    Some lakes around Brainerd are 4+ inches now, except for Gull and a couple other big ones.

    Thanks guys. I think I’ll have to try to find some small honey holes for bluegills. Maybe I’ll discover some new favorites.
