Albino Squirrel – WTH is wrong with people?

Yes, I told him I called the warden. Even though it sounds like since it is in the city of Hudson he would not do anything it would be a Hudson Police deal to enforce. I don’t plan to pursue this anymore. My only concern was if it was shot in my yard without someone asking my first.

From what the warden says, it is NOT illegal to shoot an albino squirrel like it is a deer in WI. I had no idea and would have thought the albino squirrel was protected.

correct me if i’m wrong here, but a true Albino doesnt the eyes have to be pink or some other odd color???????

otherwise its just a color mutation????? thats how i understand it anyway??????????/

I believe there is a town in Illinois Olney that the town is full of white squirrel. I read at one time there was over 800 of them in town. The count is down the last few years I guess.

I got a pellet gun when I was 8 or 9. We had a couple 100 acres behind our house that me and the neighbors would shoot all sorts of chipmunks and squirrels and rabbits (during the season). But I would always clean the squirrels and rabbits. We had a Sheriff and local police officer as neighbors on our street. We would walk down the road with our pellet guns and no one cared! We never would’ve shot a squirrel and left it lay though. Especially a piebald or albino one.
