I was up at the cabin yesterday and got a quick hour of fishing in the frigid temps. I found the ice on the South side of Minnewawa to be 16-17″ of solid good ice. Remember this was on one part of the lake that usually freezes up first. I have been up there when we had 10″ in that same location, but the North side was open water. Just be careful and remember no ice is 100% safe. Just thought I would drop you a update. There were a few vehicles out there, but not that many houses yet. Good Luck and be careful!
