If Sand Burr is around he will chime in. He fishes Sandy a lot I think.

I haven’t been out for a few weeks but had a buddy call last Friday looking for some help getting his wheeler out of the slush. Off the beaten paths there is slush still. Ice was very inconsistent when I was up last. I would guess it is about the same with the slush not freezing.

To sum it up the conditions on the lake for travel are less than ideal. Not impossible but less than ideal. Bring the proper equipment to get unstuck. I would love to hear a great report when you get back but I would play it safe and head for Bell Horn.

Drove by the lake Friday. Ice is black and pulling away from shore. Should be open soon.

I will be fishing Big Sandra On Sunday, I will report back as ordered. I just heard this morning, that there were a few fish on top of the ice. Maybe it is an alien invasion or the fish are trying to migrate to the south.

Ice is decent and there are plenty of people driving around. There was a decent crack across the main lake that could be active still. Be smart and aware. Crappies to be had for the guy that moves around. Still an almost non existent tully bite.
