Anyone been fishing Lake Minnewawa lately and looked at the water temps? Just wondering how the pike bite has been up there. With the colder temps I’m guessing there isn’t much vegetation near the surface yet. I’m not looking for any detailed spots or anything as I’m aware there is a tournament there on sat which we are not fishing in. I’m headed up Friday to see if we can find any pike anyways.

With the year we are having and they way the weather has been Pike are the easiest fish to catch and find. They are everywhere. I’ve never fished the lake but I’d bet it will be pretty easy.

If it helps, Aitkin Lake was in the 56-57 deg range. Some of the bays may have been as high as 59 deg. I was also on a small lake east of Tamarack and the weed growth has only just started although it has darker water than Minnewawa (less light penetration). Pike were active on both.
