Thinking about chasing crappies Friday and Saturday on some small lakes in the Aitkin area. Anyone have any reports on ice conditions? I’m sure there is plenty of ice but how are the landings with the warm temps – any luck getting ATV’s out or is it only walkable?

Just got off the phone with a buddy and there are still trucks out as of yesterday.
I was out in that area Friday/Saturday and we used atv and snowmobile. Not sure what lakes people are still driving trucks but I certainly wouldn’t.
Ice was super dark and soft on my shoreline on Cedar, I suspect there will be water out from the shoreline next week.
