Aftermarket hydraulic steering

I have an older boat with a 150hp Optimax. My cable (zero feedback) steering has been getting stiffer and stiffer, and now it is just a huge PIA to steer near docks or other tight quarters. My first choice is going to be to try and clean/fix the existing cable system, but if its bad enough that I am going to have to replace it, I’m looking at going with one of the cheaper aftermarket hydraulic steering systems on Amazon.

Does anyone have any experience with these less expensive systems?

I had to reply to this, as long as its Dometic/SeaStar you will be good.
Not at all familiar with the other brands or their quality, PLEASE just think about what you are hooking it to, a 150 Opti is a lot of motor to be worrying about if the cheap stuff is going to hold,,,,,or not.

I kinda figured that is the advice I’d receive. For the price of Seastar, I’d just put in cable steering again. I don’t anticipate having the boat for too much longer, and don’t want to put that much coin into an upgrade.

UFlex is also a good hydraulic steering brand.
