Advice on Mosquito head nets

Just got up to the cabin and tried to fish off the dock and the mosquitos are freakin relentless.

Anybody have recommendations on good mosquito head dressing?

They are horrible up here right? The best way for a mosquito net to work is with a hat that keeps the netting away from the face…like a full brim cowboy hat.

…but those thermocells work pretty good when it’s calm.

Maybe they sell one of those sweet beer dispenser hard hats with netting, for a couple Corona’s!!

I concur on ThermaCells! Takes a couple minutes for it to kick in but gradually you notice they just stop bothering you.

EPG – try wearing a bucket hat with any standard bug net from a box store.. The wider edges of the bucket hat help keep the net away from your skin/face.

I prefer a 12 gauge. No idea if I ever get any mosquito’s with it but it makes me feel better and the smoke is at least a slight irritant.

Tiki torches on the dock and a thermocell on the belt.

From my experience don’t get the one with a built in hat brim deal but by the one without and wear the hat you normally do under it. The Wildman and I each spring have to create our clothes for getting through the woods to the dock. When they get thick they are thick

I bought a full bug suit from Cabelas a few years ago and worked well so bought one for the wife too. Comes with pants,the top has a hood with a face covering. It’s a mesh material and breathes. Don’t remember price or know if they still sell them since the Bass Pro take over.

Well if ya aint gonna use that shiny grill I sent you for cook’n something tasty out on the toon, peel the burners out of it and stick one on each side of yer head and lighter up !!
