Looking to pick up a new Clam flip-over this year. Does anyone have any advice for buying one at the St. Paul Ice Show? What type of discount do they typically run? Is it a pain to purchase and load out? Best to go on Friday vs Saturday? I can currently find some online that are for sale, so I am trying to determine my best option. Thx.

Most of the dealers have a load in dock. It does make is pretty easy. I would honestly buy on Friday know the crowds are usually pretty nuts on Saturday. Reeds, Joes, Thorne all will have deals. Later in the show availability can be an issue.

I bought my Frabil a couple years back when they came out with the side doors. Got it from Joe’s on the last day – had to buy the floor model which after putting two others together was acually a good thing!!! Agreed – 20% sounds about right…

If your willing to be patient they dont want to take stuff back with them
Sunday can be great for deals. 1. If you dont mind displays 2. Willing to be flexible on the type of shack you buy

This! I have never bought a shack from the show but flashers I have gotten for a steal with the vendors because they don’t want to load them up after the show ends. Typically the sales are 20-30%
