Advice needed for Truck Canopy

    Hi,

Hoping you can help me, I’ve never owned a truck so I am completely lost in this matter!

Our farm has bought a 2007 Toyota Tundra with a 8 foot bed. It came with a ‘Leer Crown’ canopy but it was held on with clamps, which looks super sketchy to me. The canopy even shifted slightly on the way home! Arghhh!

Needless to say we took it off, but my question is, is there a way to make this canopy fit on our truck safely or do we have to buy a new canopy made especially for this make and model of truck?

    Advice greatly appreciated!

No it’s fine. Either tighten the clamps or you can drill and bolt it. I have run 1/2 million miles with Leer toppers and never lost one.

I think all caps are just held on by 4 or maybe 6 clamps. Not sure what looked sketchy about yours but maybe they just weren’t tight enough.

Just clamps. There are a few varieties of double sided removable tape that you can put around the truck bed before the topper to prevent slipping and leaking.
