Advanced Ice Fishing on North Lake (near Hastings)

Once again Carpenters Nature Center will be holding an on the ice fishing seminar.
It was very well attended last year so reserve a spot for someone you know that likes to ice fish but might not get out too often.

Children ages 10+ with prior fishing experience can register for this FREE program that explores the advanced art and science of ice fishing. They shoulda stuck to Rebecca, probably a shorter drive for 80% of the kids attending, plus if you fish North lake from 9am-noon its likely that there are very few fish caught.

Rebecca is automatic fish, granted mainly small, but that’s great for kids.

Maybe the change of lakes will be welcomed as a nice change of scenery but I doubt kids care about that.

My thoughts exactly, but I hope it goes well. Haven’t had many good days on North this year yet.

North can be terrific very very early in season, add the people traffic and that shallow lake just shuts off outside of the prime hour and sometimes middle of the night….9-noon, not good.

This is the second year it will be held on North Lake for the advanced class.

I believe Hastings has an event on becca and the CNC has a beginners class there last year.
