Adding Terrova w/Link and a second graph

Hi all,

Upgrading the trolling motor on my ’07 Alumacraft Tournament Sport 195. I think I’ve decided on a 24v/80#/60″ Terrova with ipilot link.

Reading up on everything it’s my understanding that I should be able to network my existing Gen 1 Helix 9 if I add a Gen 3N Mega graph to the front and use a hub.

Assuming I’m correct so far, what are the differences, assuming they’re all G3N Mega, between the Helix 7,8, and 9?

Congrats on the decision & future purchase!

Yes, you will be able to network your Gen 1 Helix 9 to the trolling motor and / or a hub with a new G3N; you’ll need the dongles (one for each unit) and an ethernet cable to connect the dongle to the hub; the ilink trolling motor will come with an ehternet cable to connect to the hub.

As far as the differences in the 7/8/9, it’s predominantly screen size right now. Go the biggest you can for better SI / DI resolution.

Congrats on the upgrades! If you want to experience the full benefits of MEGA side imaging get a 9 or 10. I have a 7 sitting right next to my 10 and it works well for GPS/Sonar/DI, but feels a little small for effective side imaging.
