Can anyone tell me how to access the flame sensor on a Cayenne garage heater?
I pulled the covers to find out I’m not even close. Looks like I need to dismantle a whole lotta stuff including the gas line. flame

Your not going to believe this but it is 8efe28aeba5bfd44. LOL
No, I’m at the cabin now so I won’t have access to that for a while. Its a small unit. Here is a pic.
You can see the screws that hold the sensor are coming in from the back side and the shroud holding it has a mother board attached to that also. WTF!

So I’m not sure you’re looking in the right location. If I’m understanding you correctly the red item is what you’re looking at? That would be the limit switch. Which could be causing your problem however if that is tripping you’ve typically got bigger problems. The yellow part should be the ignitor, and the green part is your flame sensor.

Disconnect the ignitor and flame sensor wires and I believe I see two screws(maybe more?), one top one bottom, that should loosen the entire plate they are connected to to access them.

    Munchy,
Yes, the green one and there is a lot to dismantle to get there.
Blower starts, calls for gas, flames for 5 seconds then out.
Gotta be a dirty/bad flame sensor.

Can you not remove the screws holding that plate they are attached to in place and at least pull it forward to access the screw holding the sensor in place?

I could, if I had about 10 hours to kill and wanted to practice on my swearing. I’m getting my HVAC guy over to see if he has any tricks.

The green circle is the sensor. The red circle is the ignitor. Looks like the plate needs to come out that holds them. The gas manifold needs to come out, then work your way in. Garage heaters are a pia to service!
