    Does it have a blacked tipped tail? If so it would be an Ermine.

    Those guys really like the riprap I shore fish. A guy would think it’s hard to get a pic but in my experience they will sit there and watch ya, snoopy lil things. Cool pic.

    My wife and I have seen these little guys in the woods this year each once and today. Short tailed weasel but I’m no expert. We had an otter on the ice yesterday coming up thanksgiving day tipup holes.

    Looks like a least weasel. They’re small but efficient at controlling mice, voles and shrews. Careful what you leave out as they can be a real pests if you tempt them.

    I’ve only seen one in my life. He popped out of the bushes along side the road 5′ from me.

    I’ve seen river otters just about everywhere I go.

    Neat sighting they can be a pretty proficient hunter. Been known to take out groups of chickens 1 by 1
