    Quite the lad ya got there! peace

    My 7yr old has her hockey jamboree in a couple weeks here, the 7th doah , there goes FYB.

    Pretty cool though they get the spotlights and music going to announce their names entering the rink, you know they love every minute of it. They played during a high school “halftime” and she said how she was nervous with all the people in the stands. You can see how the preparation at this young of age will help out when they are older.

    Best of luck to him!

    I see a little Dominic Hasek in him. Coming from someone who played goalie AAA till I was 18 and could have played jrs/college. Make sure he’s having fun. don’t let the pressure or a loss get to him(I mean we are the last defense.) and more importantly, remind him to have fun. oh and another thing. We’re goalies. We’re weird. Deal with it. HA!

    @breezy,
    I know how weird goalies can be. Im almost 34 and still play 3 nights a week. There are actually a bunch of wash-up goalies on the site.

    Very cool DT!
    Speaking of proud dad, my 25 year old daughter closes on a townhome this morning.
    It does go very fast!
    You have many exciting (and nerve racking) times in the stands ahead.

    Haha! Good to know. I stopped playing beer league a few years ago. It seemed like everyone all of a sudden was playing for lord Stanley, and just a bunch of goons. Ain’t worth getting hurt again over it. Pond hockey for now. although that Labatt blue pond hockey tournament looks like it’d be a good time. Always fills up fast though.

    DT, I think I was behind you at a stoplight last night. Does your minivan have a bumper sticker that says:

    Driver carries no cash. Kids play hockey.

    Congrats on the little guy.

    Our Hockey finished yesterday with my son playing his last midget game (we do not have a higher level) He has a couple of guys on his team that were there from the start, i started coaching them when he was 5. Love kids hockey ( i still coach a team) Have a second son at 14 that is a goalie and in the division i coach…tons of fun,love the fact most of the posts are from Minn…great hockey and almost honorary Canadians.
