A/M ONYX PFD that has not inflated and the bobbin is out of date. Is it OK to just change the bobbin?

Check the owners manual, but most vests say to just change the bobbin every three years.

Since you’re rearming it anyway you’ll wany to pull the cord and check to see if it is good shape and still holds air.

You can just change the bobbin. I would save the co2 and inflate it by mouth. (your choice) Four or five breaths and it will be full. Leave it overnight to check for leaks. waytogo

It is more fun to just jump in and see how fast they inflate and how it holds you in the water though. peace
