Finally got to pool 2 for the first time. Wow is that a piece of water!

So different from anything I’ve fished for rivers. Deep channels, good average depth, barge activity, tuna boats, wing dams! Finally saw, and fished some dams!

Pretty excited to get back, may have found my new home waters. So much to learn but that’s what’s exciting woot

Definately a fun place to fish and explore. There’s a little bit of everything from the big city and the hobo’s to the deer and bald eagles along with the endless structure to fish.It didnt take but a few trips for me to keep wanting to head back the very next day.Being fisherman living a big city I’d say it cant get much better then the waters we have rite outside our doors.

I like the launch at Lion’s Levee Park in Cottage Grove. I like that stretch of the pool and the launch is fairly protected. Although if you want to fish closer to St. Paul then the 494 launch(494 and Concord Street in Inver Grove Heights/South Saint Paul) is a good location.
