Had a real good trip Wed evening for a couple hours before dark by myself. Catching a few saugers and walleyes up river from the seagull perch. They were in the 4 to 5 ft range hitting a curly tail grub and Shad raps. My question to the veterans is: are these fish stacking up at the head of the lake to make the journey up river later on? Or will they be staying there over the winter? Just trying to understand the river walleye cycle. No size to the fish, just the 12 to 15 inchers, but fun to catch. Sorry no pictures.

If u caught a lot of fish in that size range 20-30 fish could be a batch starting migration. If u caught 3-6 fish probably just residents hanging out. Thumbsupemoticon!
