A fun little boat launch story…for once

As I was pulling up to land at the boom site Saturday night I saw 3 teenagers fishing from the launch. one of them had snagged and had his buddy wading out to try to get it. Buddy stopped because the water was cold and he was nearing the danger zone I said hop in the boat, well get right over the snag and get you…unsnagged. one of them did. We backed out 100 fr or so and the snagged line came free. As he was reeling, he pulled up what at first appeared to be a stick. it was actually another new fishing rod and reel. The kids were jacked and very appreciative. One of them then asked, do you want this rod? I said heck no! you caught it! Fun to see their excitement. This made my day! This is why I fish!
