a fish that was bigger then him!

    This past friday night I was fishing near stillwater. There was this kid who was 14 years old fishing near me. The kid ended up hooking into a big sturgeon which he was targeting, this fish was giving this kid a true workout, I give this kid major credit for sticking it out to the end. After about a 20+ minute fight with the fish going airborne several times the kid finally got the fish close enough to the shore where I walked in the water and landed it for him. Measurements and pictures were taken and the fish was released for someone else to enjoy the fight. The fish measured 65 inches with a 24 inch girth.

    That super cool. kudos on helpin a youngster out.
    im impressed he was able to hold it. heck, im not sure if i could hold it. esp after a long fight like that

    24″ girth. They’re so damn scrawny on the Croix. Mid 50″ fish on the rainy have a girth of that and a 65″ on the Rainy looks just MASSIVE.
