A different dropshot knot.

I have always used a Palomar knot when tying my dropshot setup. Came across this different dropshot knot. Going to try it out in the morning. I like the way it keeps the hook standing strait out. I always have to keep adjusting the knot position when using the palomar knot to keep it in the right position.

Palomar and then run the tag line back through the eye. I can’t remember all these knots. I stick with what I know.

That’s what I have always used. Just need to always adjust the knot location to keep the hook standing out. Hope this new knot solves that issue

OK I didn’t watch the video. Now I did. That is a pretty simple knot even I could remember

This is timely for me as dropshot has become a staple in my arsenal and I have a big trip coming up.

I recently saw Bro from Northland explain his setup and it sure makes a lot of sense… although I cannot remember losing many fish at all dropshotting. Seems a little over-complicated.

Been using this for a little over a year. Works great.

I like this. I believe it would work for casting and retrieving 2 jigs on the same line, at different depths. I do this sometimes for crappie or Stripies during the run. Lots of times catch 2 fish on 1 cast.

Can you do that in MN inland waters?

    I think only for panfishing.

Saw this video about a year ago and have used it ever since. I pre tie the leaders, makes it easier in the boat.I believe DNR says you can use 2 hooks on 1 line, if the hooks are 9 in apart.
