A Boy Down At The Creek……..

    Remember the good old days?

When life was simpler…..The only thing that ever kept you up at night was a fear of running out of bait??

When I was a kid things were blowing up in the Middle East. Oil tankers were burning. Scud missiles filled the air. Riots were happening in the streets……

But the things I remember most were the fun times…..the simple things.

Drowning a crawler on the creek bank is one of the most powerful things on the planet…..Thank you Mom for taking the boys out today when I couldn’t be there

Bless all of the IDO community tonight as we struggle through these crazy times. Don’t forget to take a minute for yourselves and your kids, your neighbor’s kids, or kids you don’t even know.

Let them be a boy or a girl down at the creek…..without a care in the world (except running out of bait) )

Well said B-man. I had a couple out for last day of Turkey season. Deer, coons, porcupine, squirrels, no Turkey.

That’s great Dan, it’s just as much fun watching them do it toast

Thanks Tom. It’s amazing how fast they mature.

I do remember those days. Bank fishing with a cane pole and a willow branch stringer. Great to see the kids getting involved at an early age.

My fondest memories with my Dad were fishing. He took my brother and me out regularly once we quit using diapers. His comment “I spent most of the time helping you kids, rarely had time to whet a line……”. Sadly that changed as we got older – couldn’t keep me and my brother in a boat for more than 10 minutes without a fight. Dad had to resort to one or the other, never both.
