A boy and his trout

Looking at Suzuki’s trout post. I wanted to share this one. My youngest really wanted to catch trout. So this summer while out west fossil hunting we stopped at a small mountain lake in the black hills for a day. He ended up catching a number of trout including this Cutbow. He was extremely excited. He kept a few smaller rainbows for the campfire as well. We walked him through how to clean it and cook it. We had to send him to a neighboring camper to borrow butter. The couple was very generous and excited to hear about his adventure. 100% all him. He loved them.

That is awesome. My son is 11 and I’ve had him stream trout fishing since he was 6. I look forward to it every spring and this year my younger daughter is coming too. Good job.
