    Ouch, hope no one got hurt. Maybe they didn’t secure it at the dock and it went adrift.

    Maybe he cheated on his wife and she “launched” it for him on Mother’s Day?

    I shouldn’t kid until we know that nobody was hurt, but it does seem odd.

    Only one I can really come up with is it escaped from someones dock. Someone who does not have a lift but leaves it tied up to the dock and raises the motor out when not in use so it doesn’t get green and slimy all summer. Then again, it’s too early to get green and the boat is too nice for someone to have it and also not have a lift.

    Flooding of the switches may have raised the motor to it’s present position?

    I’ve seen horns going, flashers going, windshield wipers going, on flooded vehicles all the time.

    The boat took a rogue wave over the back end and took on too much water. Yes everybody made it out ok, the boat not so much. The driver kept his head and immediately headed for shore where there was a house with a light on. We were fishing on the Goose Island flats when it happened.

    What kind of boat was that? Looks like a Ranger? Good to see it did not capsize.
