    Why don’t people just pay the small amount of $ and stay on the resort roads and adhere to where they say you can go or don’t go there? eek

    I think the problem is that they went bushwhacking and couldn’t see the pressure ridge under the snow, or else they underestimated that little bump that they thought was just another drift. I never do serious off-roading with a truck if I can’t see the ice itself. By that, I mean I’ll only drive a couple blocks off a resort road if there’s snow cover that may hide a crack or heave.
