Club Eden in Eden, SD still a favorite. It’s Cafe Eden in the morning for breakfast, then they slide out the slot machines and dim the lights at night and it becomes “Club Eden.” Best wing night in the region. Population 97 and they are all there ~
Gluek’s and the Nankin downtown
Grandma’s and Bullwinkle’s in 7 corners
Cattle Company and Burnsville Bowl on the south side
The Warehouse and the Reef in Duluth
The Viking, Carrigan’s and the Cove in Superior
By the list of bars I will guess that no one here is from Shakopee. I believe it was called the Jug back then, now it’s gone.
But I remember Arnie’s the most because it was open at 8 am for us night shift workers and he always had enough money to cash our pay checks.
He would also allow you to order 6 at last call and stay till they were gone. Getting of at midnight really puts a cramp on a fun time for a young guy.
When I worked at Apple Chrysler, we would go to Turtles quite frequently. Nice friendly bar and good food too !
River Roost is long gone…. but Corky now owns another bar in Richmond. Ultimate is really now the “Ultimate” Bar. Its Beautiful ! I believe Tommy just got married too !

yep long gone. But it did say 80’s bar scene. Corky bought Dennys and I believe one of his boys took over dusty?
Tamarack bar in Long Lake. In the 80s it was just down the block from the Red Rooster in Long Lake in the basement of the old drug store. Wednesday nights was 10 cent tap beers. Had live music occasionally. Good place to go after Town Team baseball. Was only there for a few years.
Red Rooster can go on the list also. Still there.
