72" troll motor on Comp 205?

    Looking at new Ulterra. Has anyone on here mounted a 72″ bow unit on a Competitor 205? Were you able to set it up without a lot of the powerhead overhanging the gunnels by much?

    I don’t see why it can’t be done. I have a 72″ Ulterra on my Alaskan 2000 DC and it fit just fine.

    It can be mounted so more is inside then outside. It will be fine.

    Yes, I have a 72″ on my 205. You will like the extra length and you won’t have any clearance issues.

    Yup, I have a 72″ Ulterra. You definitely want that length!!

    We fished some big rollers last Sept and still had the prop coming out , rarely but no way it could have held anchor with a 60″ shaft in that situation.

    My passengers and dogs were having fun sitting up at the bow getting smashed with waves every once in a while. They were laughing hard! HAHA!
