Launched out of Hok Si La on Saturday and fishing around that area because the lake was a no-wake. With all the wind you wouldn’t have noticed a wake but we kept is slow. The wind was creating some nice rollers so we found some shorelines that were mostly out of the wind. Trolled cranks and picked up 22 Walleyes from 15″ to 24″ plus several Saugers that were all under 14″ and a few White Bass. All fish were caught in 14 to 22 FOW.

Sounds like some good fishing given the conditions. Would have been interesting to see what the AIM tournament weights would have been had it not been cancelled.

Thanks for the report. Was it difficult to get your boat in with the high water? I am thinking about putting in there but I don’t want to make the drive if I can’t do it by myself.

It was not difficult but I would recommend waders or shorts/sandels. The water was about 6″ above the top of the the ramp and you will have to wade through ankle deep water to get to the dock. The parking spaces on the side towards the highway were underwater but usable, all others were dry. Very cute to see a duck and ducklings swimming through the parking lot.

Any hot colors, or was it more the wobble, size, or shake?

Color did not seen to matter too much because we caught fish on almost every color we tried. We caught fish on deep and shallow diving baits with and without rattles. Rattling raps seemed to be the ticket at first but Andy picked up several at the end on the hand line with an original floater F7.
