620T Front Control Pad Not Working

At some point, the front control pad on my 2003 620T stopped working. It doesn’t light up at all. I’ve confirmed that I have power at the plug and everything is connected correctly. I’ve read that those control pads are prone to failure. I’ve tried calling Ranger support, and only get voicemails and no call backs. Should I just order a new pad, or is there something else I should check first? Can I get one of those pads online?

Additionally, over the winter, my MK Terrova (BT, ipilot link) head started acting up and needed to be replaced as did my MK heading sensor. The heading sensor and control pad are on the main power circuit, the TM is on an isolated 24v circuit. Coincidence?

I had the exact same issue on an 03 619VS. Power to the pad, but none of the functions worked. Replaced the switch pad and was good to go. I ordered it direct from Ranger, think it was around $110.

After several attempts trying to get through to Ranger support\parts directly, only to wait on hold, I gave up. I called Frankie’s this AM. There’s a superseded part for the bow control that runs $270 and will take 2 weeks to get.

Try calling Great Lakes skipper. They may or may not have the part but if they do it will be half the price of what Frankies charges.

Stick with Frankie’s as a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush! I have bought 4 boats from them as their prices are always very competitive and service is always fabulous. Besides they are always in the top 3 dealers in the country, and have a Legacy award, very rare. They have the largest Ranger customer base in this area and are required to have the best knowledge on what you need.

Well your experience is completely different than the half of dozen times I have dealt with them.

Call the guys at the boat center. They are top notch.

I have never dealt with Frankies but know first hand how good the boat center is.

Frankie’s can order me one for $270. Apparently the panel for my year has been superseded with a newer style. Plug and play supposedly. Thanks guys!
