6/1 Quick Leech Lake Report

    I found a strong bite this evening after 3 days off from fishing (my longest break of the season so far). A jig and shiner or jig and Leech both produced equally. Most fish were caught in 6-10 f.o.w. on wind exposed shorelines. A spinner and a crawler or Leech is still a good way to locate schools when the fish scatter a bit. Using side imaging and structure scan alongside analog sonar is also very useful to locate bait and fish quickly on shallow shorelines.

    Phil, Thanks for keeping us city folk in the know concerning the Leech bite. It certainly is good times up there right now! RR
