Love the auger. Just want to upgrade to the 8”. Would also consider selling the drill/batteries and clam drill plate if there is more interest. $160 for just the bit. $450 for the whole set up. Northeast wi. Would travel to Green Bay/ Appleton.

Would you sell the clam plate separately?

I would keep your 6″ and add the 8″. I purchased the 8″ first and now have added the 6″. Love them both! I use the 6″ for scouting and the 8″ for fishing. Best of both worlds. IMHO

How many holes are you guys getting with the 8” with a Milwaukee fuel 5amp. It seems like I only get 15 holes to a battery. Just wondering if that seems right. My buddy with a 6” nils get 30 to 40 holes. Wondering if I shld go to a 6” kdrill or nils.

I have a buddy with 6 inch kdrill and a milwauke 18 and clam drill plate. He changed batteries after about 6 holes in 28 inches of ice. I drilled 6 holes with my dewalt and 6 inch nils. MY battery was over 50 percent. The nils uses less battery and is faster. The k drill can drill open old holes. My nils is for fresh holes only. They both are good units it just depends if you need ability to open old holes like in a fish house. In 20 inches of ice I have drilled 20 holes and still at 50 % or Above on battery.

I have this same set up with 6″. I am getting 25-30 in 20″of ice on a battery now. My record this year was 56 holes on 8″ of ice on one battery. I am a HAPPY CAMPER with this set up.
