My kid’s school is having a raffle. Facebook keeps removing the flyers and now I’m blocked from doing anything on there for 24 hours. Is this okay to post here? Obviously if the winner is from out of state, shipping charges will apply. Feel free to remove if not allowed.

    In this day and age…

If you open the flyer in the first post, there’s a link in there that will take you there.
    or this:
    https://www.deportpto.com/

I see that, but that link tells me nothing on if this is legitimate…but if the school website had a link it would be more believable.

God bless Texas, indeed! Their school also arms their teachers.

Unfortunately, the PTO is the one doing the raffle, and they aren’t affiliated with the school in any way. They are a separate non-profit entity that just supports the kids. I can appreciate your concern.

Okay, so maybe this will help. I contacted the PTO President and relayed your concerns. She was also concerned about the same thing and was on the edge of using 2 different platforms. She was using one that was a little cheaper on fees, but the other one actually verifies the organization through their EIN and requires documents that prove that the organizer is actually with the organization, so she changed the platform to that one. Again, I appreciate your concerns and maybe this will help. http://www.deportpto.com

X1000 on the God bless Texas. You would never see anything like that in anyway associate with a school here in this bleeding hart Liberal state – That’s for sure. Even a PTO would be roasted alive here in Minnesota if doing something like this.

    Beautiful Rifle by the way.

Like others here – If there was a way to verify the legitimacy of this and a way to purchase – I’m sure myself and a few others here on this site would be willing to donate to this good cause

I mentioned on another post, the platform of the website has been changed due to those concerns. RallyUp verifies organizations through their EIN number. Hope that helps!

Also, anyone still questioning the legitimacy can call the school. (903) 652-5681 option 5

If anyone figures out it this is 100% ligit, I’ll buy tickets for it. How sweet for a school to support out 2nd ammendment rights publicly. waytogo

The website host, RallyUp, verifies each raffle organizer via their tax Id # and they also verify that the bank account is linked to that organization. It’s a pretty thorough process. Also, you can call the school directly to verify 903-652-5681 option 5

Other then the color scheme, it’s a pretty sweet rifle. (I’m not dissing old glory, just not on a gun).

I think it was chosen because of the flag. Texans love the flag. It would be better if it was a Texas flag, but this will do ;)
