I have been doing pretty good all week but this morning was notable. We headed just before 7:30am and I was cleaning fish by 10:00am. I got lucky and landed on a hot spot that gave us 25 walleyes with most being in the slot. I even had my first triple of the season (triple slots) What an awesome morning of walleye fishing. We were jigging shiners in 9 to 10ft and the fish were tight to a slight change in depth but otherwise structure less area. Conditions were perfect early but the wind soon died but the fish remained active. I have had to work a lot harder for fish during the week but we found good numbers in the cabbage also. With all the slots we caught thru the season so far I have not seen one fish over the slot but 25”s seem to be numerous and are a lot of fun.
