Heard on the radio today that Erin already forfeited $500K for missing the OTA’s. Starting tomorrow the Packers can fine him another $93,000 for not showing up. Packers in an attempt to make peace aren’t expected to fine him. They might as well grab the money because he isn’t ever taking another snap for the Packers.

It was much easier to ignore the Prima Donna when the Twinks weren’t getting beat like a Piñata. neutral

My understanding is the Packers have no choice but to fine him. I was told/read it is a league rule.
Not sure so don’t take as fact.

It’s easy to ignore if you follow the 1st place Brewers. Possibly the best starting rotation in the league. Well atleast the best 1-2-3.

Mandatory fines start if he doesn’t show at training cap. They could waive penalties for not showing today. That will be telling

I’d be shocked if he ever took another snap as a Packer.

Too much going on there to return.

He either takes a year off and then comes back with another team or becomes the new Jeopardy face.
I could see him retiring for the year and then making a return.
    Hopefully with an AFC team!

Reports out of camp said Love was very inaccurate in camp today and that he took nearly all of the reps. They said this was significant because normally the starter would take 4 or 5 snaps and then the backup would come in and take 3 or 4 snaps and the 3rd string would take a few. Matt LeFluer said and i quote “Love needs all the snaps he can get.”

    Guess you missed this:

And now Love leads a drill-winning drive in 2-minute, capping a 70-yard drive with an 8-yard leaping TD catch by Allen Lazard.

What a stretch for Jordan Love:

    * Wheel route to AJ Dillon right sideline for 30 yards.

    * Free play deep to Lazard for 45.

    * Deep corner route to Juwann Winfee for 30.

    * Deep sideline to Aaron Jones for 30.

He was so 🔥 that TE coach Justin Outten started fanning him.

maybe if the ball was thrown accurately he wouldn’t have had to leap to catch it yay

Erin has plenty of cash, he made millions over the course of his NFL career. Probably not as much as somebody like Brady but he isn’t as good either so he has done fine.

I’d be surprised if Erin takes a snap for GB this season.

His legacy really can’t change much unless he wins another Super Bowl.

He will always be behind Brady maybe even the Manning brothers also. Some would say Wilson is better and done as well. I’m sure there are still those in Green Bay who would take Favre over Erin also. Then there is that pesky Mahomes coming on strong.

No, he has a suitcase full of cash, his legacy is what it is he has nothing to gain ever playing another down.

See ya Erin wave you will be talked about as a great quarterback but never an all time great.

I listen to the Brewers when on the road. They have some dominate starters and the hitters are starting to hit a bit. We will see if they have enough the beat out the Cubs & Cardinals.

You can’t beat Bob Uecker on the radio while wandering through Wisconsin. Cory Provus was a Ueker understudy and isn’t bad but the original is HoF caliber.

I like Pat Hughes with the Cubs more than Provus. But yes, If you close your eyes they sound somewhat like Ueker. Kinda like a Chinese knockoff. jester

Hughes tagged with Uecker for about 10 years before he went to the Scrubs

I really like Coomer with Hughes. I think they make a great team.

I think the guy with Ueker is pretty good also. But it will be quite the change when Ueker is done.

Uecker has definitely taken a step back with age on his game call but he’s still sharp as a tack with his wit and humor

If you wanna hear a guy who has fallen off, check out Mike Shannon with the Cardinals. I always liked listening to him but now it’s unlistenable. In fact last Saturday they had Rickey Horton working with John Rooney on the broadcast.

LOL Uecker is the same age as my mother: 87. Not sure what Shannon is age wise but doing a job at 87 is pretty impressive no matter the job.

way I see it, he negotiated his contract and the Packers lived up to their end of it , he should too.
If he retires and comes back, the Packers still have control because of him still being under contract.
Trade him? don’t really see that happening, it would set a president for every other star player in the NFL and I’m sure no other team or the NFL brass wants to see that happen.
Greenbay did a fairly decent job drafting, the personal is there,
He plans to get married, he should show up at camp, it would be good training for him to get use to taking orders. whistling

I agree. Same with Leveon Bell and the Steelers. And Danielle Hunter with the Vikings. I understand, to an extent, guys that sign a contract and then play so well that they’ve “outperformed” their contract. However, it doesn’t work both ways. You’ll never see a player or their union agree that they should renegotiate for LESS money because they’re just living up to the contract.

Put ALL athletes in every sport on a year to year contract. Your skill and ability will determine your worth both long term and short term.

That’s the bigger league wide issue. It DOES happen the other way, as soon as your production falls off the team wants to renegotiate or will cut you and take the dead cap money (Vikings just did this with Rudolph a couple times, Everson and a few others too). All teams do it. But if players over-perform, holding out is the only option, which isn’t ideal for the team or player.
