50 + 2 method question

    so i purchased the precision trolling app some time ago and love the info it provides. So i started reviewing the 50 + 2 method to get my lures deeper and i am a little confused. is the lead length shown from the rod to the lure with the weight at 50 ft or is it figured from the rod to the 2 ounce weight..plus 50 ft to the lure ?

    Let 50 foot out , clip weight , then it’s total line length I believe .
