How many take this product or another like it. Do you feel it’s safe? How many a day do you drink? Could it become addicting?

If you like jitters followed by a crash, it’s definitely for you.

I don’t think it’s addictive in the traditional sense, but you do form a bond to caffeine when you start a habit of taking it at certain times of the day.

Coffee seems to be by far the best source of caffeine in my opinion.

I used to use it in the am sometimes before my CPAP and before interviews. The wife asked me to stop after the news started reporting people dying from it which is silly.

You shouldn’t use it if you’ve had coffee.

I never experienced jitters or a crash. I was happy with it. The caffeine effect seemed to last longer than coffee. I would definitely use it again for interviews.

I would avoid it if you are using it like a safe alternative to no doze. You can’t deprive yourself of a good, full night sleep and hope to counter it with meds.

I prefer Adderall myself, no crash like 5 Hour …

I’ve used it a coupe times on long drives. Seem to work well and I don’t recall crashing.
A truck driver told me he uses it all the time. He says he pours the entire bottle in his mouth and holds it under his tongue for as long as he can, says he can feel it kick in pretty quick.

I use it often during deer season. I used to take one at about 10am on my all day sits to get me through the middle of the day, but now that I have kids and I am perpetually tired, I take one on the ride to the woods as well as one around noon. I don’t crash at all from it, but do certainly get a headache if I don’t drink water as well. I always have a big jug of water for the ride home to rehydrate for the next day.

I probably use it too much…..2 year old at home that isn’t sleeping well and coffee doesn’t seem to cut it for me. I also have chronic insomnia so the deck is stacked against me when it comes to sleep.

I don’t get a crash from it but I get cravings for it which probably isn’t very healthy. Seems like it can also upset your stomach but as jake47 pointed out water with it helps.

Used sparingly when you need a quick shot of energy it does the trick.

Well one is a schedule II controlled substance and the other you can buy at SA so there better be more of a difference than that!

I do every now and then, specially on long duck hunts and long weekends in the ice house. I have not experienced any sort of crash, but I also drink energy drinks on a fairly consistent basis. Why live your life if you don’t enjoy it? I do what makes me happy, and sometimes it’s a 5 hour or a Rockstar…

You probably could get a similar kick from downing coffee and vitamin B.

I’ll get the shakes pretty bad if I drink on an empty stomach, other than that it works well for me for long drives. I’ve started using redbull instead because of the shakes and redbull doesn’t do that to me if I haven’t eaten.

Just white monster for me. Not good for you, but better than drinking Rockstars everyday lol.

I usually have one monster a day no big deal for me.

I used to take a 5 hour shot when I’m was going out late with friends or on long drives when I begin to feel drowsy. I didn’t seem to crash at all, but like others, if I drink it on an empty stomach I get some stomach rot. Just gotta balance it with some water.

I haven’t had to use any in quite awhile…

Does anyone see the connection between chronic insomnia and drinking this stuff??? Just a thought

Energy drinks simply aren’t sustainable long term. Our bodies aren’t meant to be run that way everyday. I fear for anyone’s health down the road that drinks em regularly.

If your body is tired it ain’t running right like your outboard. Figure out what’s wrong and deal with it. Better nutrition more exercise etc.

With that said, life does get busy at times. I’ll do a sugar free monster maybe few times a year, and half can at that. Sleep will suck that night but gets ya through the evening.

My insomnia is actually medically diagnosed and goes back about 15 years. I’ve used medication for years and just went through sleep therapy to try and help it. It’s true that caffeine use can contribute to sleep issues but this is a different ball of wax. I don’t use any products with caffeine in them after 3pm (advice from my doctor).

Never done the 5Hour, though I do like Mio Energy occasionally. Nice thing is you can adjust your energy amount depending on how much is needed.

I do occasionally, 2-3 times a month depending on what’s happening on the weekend, mostly – early wake up and/or late bedtime is a major consideration. I haven’t had any poor reactions to it UNLESS you split it, that’s when the jitters kick in.

Coffee in all forms is what I prefer to keep me going. I will have the occasional Monster coffee on the weekend as well and don’t drink soda unless I get fast food. Prefer to keep the energy drinks to minimal use for the health reasons mentioned.
