Is the water down enough to use the 494 boat ramp? Hoping to get on the river Friday any pics or info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Friends of ours took these pics Sunday…
Not looking good for the weekend.
As of Sunday the ramp is still closed, barricades are across the road. The water is as high right now as it’s been all spring. I didn’t see much junk coming down river but the current is still very fast.
S.R.
Think water levels need to drop to about 11′ for the ramps to start to open again. Even at that they might not open right away. Mud will need to be scrapped away and ground checked for softness.
Might be worth checking the marina ramps for the weekend. They should open before the public ramps do.
Was down at Watergate tonight. No way would they be open this weekend. Lots of mud in the parking area and the ramp is still under water.
I see on Hidden Harbors Facebook page their north launch is open. This is the one on the north side of the parking lot. $10. Just put that in the drop box at the ramp near the bar.
Lions levee was a mess yet. The dock is all jacked up and there was about 7 inches of silt on the lower lot that is under water yet.. Its a mucky mess. Hidden Harbor should be letting boats out again now. That would be your best bet down river. I would call ahead if you plan to go there and make sure.
Hidden falls is still a mess, too. Took the bike down there and the parking is still under water. Water probably needs to come a couple feet yet for it to open.
