4 Wheeler electronics setup

What are the pros/cons of wiring directly to the battery vs using a vex battery?

Also curious as to which would be better. I’m mounting a Helix 5 to an old Polaris snowmobile this year and wondering which would be better. It’s a pull start if that matters.

Speaking from an ATV perspective with no recoil start backup, if you burn your starter battery out, you’re fubar…. good luck turning over a large cc engine in the cold with a rope..

Jamin, Not sure what happened to your question but it did come through in my email. That cord in the pic is what I used last season in my truck and just ran it off a vex battery. For the wheeler, I took an extra power chord (from a new graph on the boat) and ran the wires to the same vex battery under the front rack.
