I have a 386ci combo unit I purchased this past spring. I have it set up with an ice ducer and a portable conversion pack for ice fishing. About two weeks ago I a was set up on some gills, everything was working great and then suddenly the marks disappeared. Fish were still there because I was still catching them. I had my vex set about a bout six feet away and I could see everything on it. I have used the 386 since then a couple times and still the same issues. The flasher is cluttered with lines and there is no distinction as to what is fish and I cannot tell where the bait is.
I have set this thing up as many different ways as I can think of. Changed all the settings and reset them back to default, still no change. I also eliminated any sources of interference with no good results. I’m wondering if anyone has has similar experiences with Humminbird? I did call the company, they want me to ship it back to them for troubleshooting on my dime so I was hoping for any advice before I spend the money on shipping.
I’d appreciate any feedback.
