Curious how you made out Matt, did you pull the trigger on new batteries?
No decision made yet. Going to get through this season and upgrade over the winter. I’ll post with what I come up with.
Bumping this back to the top . Would like to go with 2 -36V lithiums to fit in the battery hatch cleanly. Any updates to the post what people are using ? Lots of info online thats overwhelming and confusing .

Your standard charger will work to charge LFP when set to the AGM mode.I don’t think so. My chargers specifically say right on the front “for use with lead acid or AGM batteries.”
I have a Cabela’s Advanced Angler and a Dual Pro charger.
Chargers are relatively inexpensive. Hardly worth the concern or reason to hold back this day and age.
I am very pleased I went lithium, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back
I just upgraded my batteries last year to AGMs. No reason to scrap 3 brand new batteries and two perfectly good chargers for a bunch of Chinese lithiums at this point.

I run a 24v system but only one battery. Went with amped out doors 80ah and have been very happy. There are a lot of cheaper options that do seem to work well too. Mine does fit in a normal battery box. I would check the dimensions of your current box or battery and check the specs
On whichever ones you are looking at.
I am running two 36v 60Ah amped outdoor batteries. Way more than I need and have been very happy with them. Ending my second season using them. I have never used more than 40% in a day running them at at least 50% in 10 hours.
I missed this before.
But I do not know of a 36v lithium that is a group 27 size. All that I know of are group 31 or larger.
I mention that because you said you couldn’t fit a group 31. There are many 100ah TM batteries that are group 24 sized.
If you can configure your battery storage for a group 31, I would plan to run (2) 36v batteries. Then you’re not dead on the water if one should happen to fail. Newton’s Law, it’ll happen while in BFE Canada. Amped 50 or 60ah are great options. And Matt is second to none regarding customer support. I believe Scheels Ice Fishing fest in St. Cloud is this week(end), I bet he’ll be there and offering discounts.
I would consider running 2 – 36vs but then don’t you need 2 chargers? Or switch them every time ? For what it’s worth I went with the lead acids and made it work. Just seems like too much of a Wild West for me yet

Nope, one charger will charge both batteries, ran in parallel. It will just take twice as long.
Example, you purchase two 50ah 36V batteries, I think the Amped Charger is 10amp. So, really each battery is getting 5ah when charging. But, you also have double the capacity, so you won’t have to charge as often. It is OK to leave a Lithium Battery at 50%, 80% or whatever, unlike a Lead Acid.
