I have had SI for ~ 5years. Have been considering 360 the past two years; but could never see myself opting for 360 over SI. Only reason i want 360 is for ice fishing, or trolling along a weedline so i can follow it just slightly better than i can with SI; since SI is in back and 360 can run off the bow (Yes i know i can run SI off my trolling motor) Otherwise 360 would be interesting to watch while anchored; but i’m quite familiar with how to intrepret my SI while anchored too. 360 would give that situation more detail though.

I would think Lowrance and HB would get along assuming you used interference rejection. I know bird uses 83/200/455/800 khz, not sure what lowrance uses. No real experience with side by side use though.

According to ‘bird manual SI requires a slow straight forward motion and is not intended for use while anchored and will not give you a good side image.

LOL. Thanks for the copy/paste from Bird..

    However,
It’s still a 180 degree beam of sonar, whether anchored or moving…Fish swim by, and they show up on SI…Kind of the opposite of you moving over the fish; the fish are moving by you. Same end result – they end up on your Bird )

Use SI long enough, you find it useful whether you be driving in circles, going through waves, half on plane or full plane. It’s still scanning. Images do take some intrepreting though; that’s were most fisherman fall short with their Birds. They don’t understand HOW IT WORKS and WHAT YOUR SEEING.

Si over 360. Anyday 360 is best for anchored or slow. Si is great for hunting structure and fish.
