I just have to ask why don’t you like noodles? What blank is this one? I was thinking of trying out some of his blanks.

If it was the power noodle I’d take it! haha, GLWS!

Tuma – the back bone on basskhang power noodle (gen2) is very nice, probably the biggest backbone in mm compared to others.

I like the feel, power and sensitivity of a quicker rod. Noodles don’t have any power. This is the finesse noodle.

I tried that one too. It was ok. It was heavy compared to other comparable blanks. The blank is 6.5 mm at the butt. In my opinion it is over kill. You can’t beat his prices.

Try a different handle material if you are looking for more sensitivity. I have built noodle rods that seem more sensitive than graphite rods just by switching the rod handle material. Seems like a lot of people here love their TUCR Bullwhip and that is a glass power noodle rod.

There is nothing lighter and more sensitive than the carbon fiber handles that I use.
A lot of guys like noodle rods. A lot aren’t really fish with a “true noodle” rod. A noodle rod is a slow action rod that basically bends evenly from butt to tip. That is a noodle rod. A lot of rods being called noodles are actually rods that are fast or extra fast with a very light tip and the manufacturer calls it a noodle. That is not a noodle. This blank I have from Basskhang is a noodle. He has one that is carbon that is a very interesting blank. But, the butt end is very small(3.5 mm approx) and to make a carbon fiber handle that fits it tightly would be very tough. I don’t have the equipment in my shop to make that one.

I will agree that your carbon fiber handles are very light and nice. Carbon fiber has damping properties and the material I use for handles is more sensitive. I bought one of your rods just so I could test and check the handle and see if I wanted to go that route. I rather have a little more weight with tons more sensitivity and that’s why I don’t make carbon fiber handles.
