    Still Shaken!
Been catching a eye or 2 off the dock at sunset. Went down a little early tonight and noticed the Leech supply was running a bit low. Took the SxS to the bait shop to pick up a few more jumbo leeches. Stopped by the watering hole on the way back. Had a Corona and told the FW we needed to get back fishing before sunset.
Pulled a big jumbo out of the jug and hooked it up to the slip rig that James was using a couple weeks ago. I modified it for leeches by adding a small split shot 6″ above the hook to keep the leeches from tangling the line.
About 5 minutes in the cork was down, set the hook and the fish darted to deep water. Haven’t had that happen but noticed quite a bit of weight on the line. Kept crankin and caught a glimpse. Hog on! The FW did a good job of netting the girl.
A fishing boat was cruising around and watching, I yelled out “Monster walleye” they stuck around for the show.
I measured it and called out 30″ er. He said “you putting it on the wall?” I said nope and put the big girl back.

I casted the line back in the same spot with the same leech and the bobber went down. A small bass, I reached down to give it the lip lock and the line broke. I started shaking even more.

    I love fishing!!!

I would guess by Friday night you will have a flotilla of boats anchored off your dock. jester

Congratulations EPG.I assume several more Coronas lost their lives in celebration after the release of that big girl.
